Student jumps off seventh floor of university hostel in Delhi

A first-year MBA student died after he jumped off from the seventh floor of his hostel at the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) in Delhi on Sunday.
Police received information about a suicide by a student, Gautam Kumar, a resident of Bihar’s Vaishali district, at the GGSIPU main campus in southwest Delhi’s Dwarka Sector-16. No suicide note was found on the spot.
The body of the student has been kept at the DDU Hostel and will be taken for a post-mortem examination.
A police enquiry was on to investigate what prompted the victim to take the extreme step.
